Why Saint Mary FUND investments?
University of Saint Mary students make up the Spires Trading Team, that helps manage the investments of the Saint Mary Fund. These students represent a variety of academic disciplines and are benefitting from a transformative college experience. The investment trading practicum provides student team members hands on experience with investment decision making, risk management and compliance, and performance reporting. Members of the Spires Trading Team have managed money for the University since 2021 , with an audited three year track record that earned excess returns well above an intermediate bond fund and the S&P 500 index (with dividends reinvested).
